St. Andrew's Lutheran Church

Epiphany

The festival of Christmas lasts for 12 Days (hence the song) and ends with the celebration of Epiphany on January 6th. Epiphany marks the magi’s journey to visit the newborn Jesus by following a star. It is a time of wonder, wandering, learning, and awareness. In many churches the day of Epiphany is stretched into a season of Epiphany, even though it is just "ordinary time" before the season of Lent. At St. Andrew's we mark the Season After Epiphany with themes of togetherness and truth-telling in a world that often traffics in divisions and misinformation. What does it mean to search for truth? How does God call us to expose injustice? How is God revealing our commonalities and connections? We hope you'll join us this season as we explore these themes with honesty and mutual encouragement.
