St. Andrew's Lutheran Church
Land Acknowledgement
As Christians, it is important for us to acknowledge the history of colonization done in Christ's name. St. Andrew's Lutheran Church is located on the unceded homeland of the Gabrielino/Tongva, Kizh, and Chumash peoples. May we be changed by the enduring witness of our indigenous neighbors, and work side-by-side with them to care for God's Creation.

Our Facilities
At St. Andrew's, we believe that God calls us to be good stewards of all that we have been given. We are committed to actively caring for the land, water, and air in our community. Our campus includes solar panels, water-smart landscaping, and energy-efficient temperature control. We also actively engage in learning about and fighting for climate justice and ecological initiatives, including beach/park clean-ups, book studies, Earth Day activities, and financial donations to nonprofit community groups.
Our Commitment
St. Andrew's is a proud member of Lutherans Restoring Creation, a grassroots movement promoting care for creation. This means we have committed to care for creation and affirm God’s creation in all its glory and beauty. We acknowledge God as the source of all things. We acknowledge Christ as the redeemer of all things. We acknowledge the Spirit as the sustainer of all things. As a result, we strive to respect all of life as sacred. We accept our vocation as Earth-keepers who care for creation. We accept our responsibility to live justly in relation to our fellow human beings in ways that all creatures may mutually thrive together.
